I.] Defend your Tribe, even with your life. You may have friendships with dragons from the other Tribes, but your loyalty must remain to your Tribe, as one day you may meet them in battle.
II.] Do not hunt or trespass on another Tribe's territory.
III.] Elders, dames, and hatchlings must be fed before tyros and warriors.
IV.] Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to the Ancestors for allowing you to eat.
V.] A dragon cannot be made locum without having mentored at least one tyro.
VI.] The locum will become chief/ess if the current chief/ess dies or retires and has no offspring. Other wise the eldest offspring becomes the next leader.
VII.] After the death or retirement of a locum, the new locum must be chosen by the next sunrise.
VIII.] A gathering of the four Tribes is held during a full moon where a truce lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Tribes at this time.
IX.] Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassers.
X.] No warrior may neglect an egg or hatchling in pain or in danger, even if that hatchling is from a different Tribe.
XI.] The word of the chief is law.
XII.] A shaman may request permission of the ancestors to accept a warrior or fellow shaman as a mate, the ancestors may say no to said requests if they feel that the shaman would falter or be unable to complete their duties.
XIII.] A shaman may also request to convince a litter once every Spring from the ancestors, this request may be denied. A female shaman may only request if there is another shaman to step up in the time of pregnancy.
XIV.] One may not have a mate in a tribe other then their own. (But those who have read the Warriors series know how often this rule is broken. ;)P)
